For gay men, pornography has always been more than just a substitute for «real» sex. The illustration of sexual fantasies was always about gay identity as well. In the last decades, a massive change has taken place: What used to be shown on screens in dark back rooms, is now available around-the-clock on the screens of smartphones, tablets and computers. Images of men having sex accompany us during our daily grind, when we’re at home or out and about.

Documentary
A shorthand term made popular by gay men in recent years for the use of drugs (specifically crystal meth, GHB and mephedrone) in a sexual context, ‘chemsex’ has been seen by some as a significant contributing factor in the rise of HIV diagnoses in London... In this unflinching documentary, we meet a host of men whose lives have been affected, from self-confessed ‘slammers’ to sexual health workers, each of whom talk candidly about the pleasures and perils associated with the scene.
