Alexandra (Alex Bisaz), a young, not very successful painter, in her frustration lets her colleague Alice (Annalisa Mächler) persuade her to go to a lesbian bar. There she meets Simone (Caroline Fest) and falls head over heels in love with her. But Simone already lives in a steady – and cooled down – relationship with Sandra (Conny Scherrer). After some turbulences Alexandra decides to concentrate on her work – and hey presto, not only is she successful at work, but also in love.
Filmed over 25 years ago in Zurich’s lesbian scene, «Elle pour Elle» tells us about the delights and frustrations of lesbian everyday life.
