Panel discussion
Despite all the privileges we fought for: how naturally does our society today handle sexualities that are different from heterosexual orientation? How about acceptance and recognition in the still traditional contexts of families, schools and the church? Is the rule «alone among straight people» still in force?
In a panel discussion – at the very same location where Ulrich Zwingli, 500 years ago, started a kind of revolution in matters of sexuality – experts from art, education and theology will speak about modern constraints and fears of (too much) homosexuality.
Martin Wigger (panel chair) Director of the Kulturhaus Helferei. He last worked as a dramaturge at Basel Theatre. Recently started studying theology at the University of Zurich.
Eva Bietenholz English lecturer, active in FELS (friends and parents of gay and lesbian children), mother of an adult lesbian daughter.
Jochen Hick Journalist, director and producer for film and television. His queer historical films are well known. This year Pink Apple will screen «Mein wunderbares West-Berlin» (My wonderful West Berlin).
Tabea Rai Professional caregiver, recently elected for Berne’s city council as member of the Alternative Left, promotes equal rights for all and especially the inclusion of all into the LGBTI+ community.
Michael Meier Studied German and theology, has worked as a journalist and expert for religion and the church at «Tages-Anzeiger» for 30 years.
In German.
