Missing: I. Merx , private detective
Anita works at a post office and hast o deliver an important letter to a private detective. But I. Merx’ letterbox is chock-full. Anita goes away in search of her. A parallel story is a Mexican tale, in which the heroine flees onto a boat that she has painted herself, and disappears. A bizarre fairy tale crime story, located in Zurich.
This experimental film was made 30 years ago by members of the lesbian (art) scene of the time, such as Muda Mathis. Since the eighties, the artist Dagmar Heinrich has been working with this fantasy universe, which she further develops on a daily or weekly basis. Strange figures, scary faces and ambiguous contents dominate this world.
